Day Trip to Filoli
Posted by Bryce Wend on May 12, 2009
We decided to take a trip to Filoli Gardens with Greg and Patty while they were here visiting.
I had been there a couple of years ago with my sister and was so impressed by the beautiful gardens.
It was a great place to strap Mason into the baby backpack and trek around the gardens.
Here are Greg and Patty in front of the reflection pool.
The garden closest to the house was filled with enormous wisteria plants. They must have been decades old.
There was also a bunch of great gates and wrought iron work.
A nice family photo under the dogwood tree.
There was so much in bloom and although we missed the daffodils, there were lots of other bulbs in full bloom. Here are the three of us in front of a tulip planting.
Mason quite enjoyed being packed around the garden.
Greg and Casey and the nubby trees.
Patty with the pink tulip pots in front of the main house.
We had a great time treking around the gardens but most importantly,
Mason got to spend some time with Grandpa and Grandma.

Looks like lots of fun. What a pretty place. Hope all is well, and hope to see you soon.
